Skiathos

MAMA MIA! island really did live up to my hopes and dreams. So much to do on one tiny island and the accessibility of it is great. The bus system is so good and makes it very easy to get around the islands. Also quad bikes are a great way to get around and explore all the less accessible beaches.

Where to stay:
Stay in the town as otherwise there won't be much to do in the night time.
There aren't many hostels/I don't think there are any. We stayed in Alykon as it was really near everything we needed (bus stop and town).

What to do:
- Boat trips (They're 25 Euros each for the main ones). They are all such good value and so much fun (make sure you go round and ask which boat you're going on so you can pick one with a sun lounger ect). There are loads of different tours so here are my recommendations: the one around Skiathos is really good but make sure you go to Lalaria, it is ridiculously touristy but still beautiful - photo to the left), Tsougrias you can do both Lalaria and Tsougrias, 2nd on the left, in one tour so recommend that! Then there is ONLY ONE boat tour that does Skopelos that does all: Kastani beach (lay all your love on me beach) and going to the chapel AND CLIMBING the chapel (most just do one or the other). We accidentally got on the wrong boat and ended up going to Alonnisos beach which was weirdly our favourite beach (look into going here as they seem to have snorkelling tours from here and boat hire - Alonnisos is an island off Skopelos).
- Hire a quad bike and go on a tour! (most beaches here are beautiful it mostly depends on the crowdedness so stay away from the main ones!!!) Mandraki is nice, Kechria is beautiful!!! (Very hard to get to have to have a quad or a car - still quite a scary drive its a very long dirt road that's very uneven and hilly). Just make up the beaches as you go along on the quad and stop wherever you thing looks beautiful!
- Glyfoneri beach looks lovely!
- Open air cinema! SOOO FUN! Watch Mama Mia there are other movies but its sososo fun to watch MAMA MIA! Such a feel good film, couldn't recommend it more. I think it was like 12 Euros a ticket and you need to book in advance! (There is a number if you google it!).

Where to eat:
- Scuna, had the best dinner at Scuna book in advance to get a seafront spot! Was lovely and not too expensive.
- Steps bar (photo below) kind of near rock and roll cafe (the steps bar has loads of colourful cushions) and is really fun!
- Sunset bar in Agia Eleni (It is 10 Euros for a drink so very expensive) but was a BEAUTIFUL sunset (again my love of sunsets comes out).
