Kefalonia

Kefalonia is so beautiful we stayed to the south of the island in a place called Moussata near the beautiful Trapezaki beach.

Summary:

Beaches: Trapezaki, Antisamos, Asos and Myrtos beach. Also didn't go to but heard: Pessada, Emblisi beach (more sea than beach), Kimilia, Lassi and Petani beach are lovely and the Melissani caves (heard mixed reviews).

Towns to visit: Fiskardo and Asos

Trapezaki restaurants: Dennis, Enastron, Stamna.

Activities: Hire a boat (can do from Lourdata - 150 euros for 5 people closes by 4pm).

Its about a 20 minute walk from Trapezaki beach downhill (we hired a car so just drove). The apartment was also very close to a bus stop (not sure how frequent they come ect but had all the locations you would want to go to). The air bnb we stayed in was: https://www.airbnb.co.uk/rooms/17402531?source_impression_id=p3_1584830439_10pCy8wA%2F6ugT4Q%2F

Trapezaki has a lovely restaurant called Dennis, it's on the beach and has good aesthetics (picture of the 'beach bar' to the right). It is the best place to just chill out for the day. Restaurant serves drinks all day and food is amazing! It is bit expensive but think the sun beds at 5 euros. There is a local Greek restaurant in Trapezaki called Stamna that do a Greek night a couple times a week it has mixed reviews on the food but my food was great and the Greek dancing was sooo fun! Enastron also has lovely food, good prices for wine and the views are amazing! (These 3 restaurants are all walking distance from the air BNB).

My favourite activity was hiring a beach from Lourdata (this was just near Trapazeki I'm sure there are loads of places you could hire them from including the capital and Fiskardo but this was near our air bnb and seemed relatively cheap - may be more expensive if you needed a captain). There were loads of empty stretches of sand and the water was incredible!

The town of Fiskardo was so cute so many little shops ect... also a nice beach there too with a cafe just past the graveyard (normally write names down opps) but the cafe had a hammock overlooking the sea and had a kind of tree house vibe over the sea.

Asos was less or a town and more of a beach with a few restaurants near by apparently you can cliff jump near by but I didn't see that.

Antisamos is stunning but is pebble beach and is very crowded but there is a hike that is pretty (don't go to the top there basically is no top and I almost fainted trying to get there aha). There are also loads of water sports you can do and if you walk along the rocks to the right (looking out at sea) there is a nudist beach. Walks pretty to get their not too sure about the view at the end...
